Windows 10 Key Code Microsoft boasts that it has broken a historic milestone - the Windows 10 operating system runs on a billion devices. This is a respectable figure although the American computer giant hoped to reach this milestone sooner.

However at the time of the premiere then Windows development chief Terry Myerson said that Microsoft's goal was to have tens of devices installed on billions of devices in three years - so it should have happened in 2018.
