In the last video there is a scenario between an instructor and a student. What advise would you give this faculty member?This is the one where the instructor is coming onto the student and it is a consensual relationship
The faculty member needs to realize that at any time the student can file a sexual harassment charge which could cost her, her job
In addition, there is damage done to the integrity of the school and that faculty member. It is almost impossible for this kind of relationship to remain unnoticed. It becomes a problem for every other student in the class who feels that the student in the relationship is getting additional attention/help/bias because of the relationship The video points out that any of those students could, in fact, file a sexual harassment charge. At the very least, other students may feel a certain jealousy or disrespect toward the student in the relationship There is no win in this situation.
