The motion comic is an action-packed story

Digital HD versions of World of Warcraft release on WoTLK Gold. If you'd like to hold off for a physical version with an array of extra content it's best to hold till September 27 when releases of the Blu-ray and DVD, and 4K versions are released.

The Blu-ray release comes with an array of exclusives, including motion comics with a documentary that spans multiple parts on the process of bringing World of Warcraft to film, a featurette on wax World of Warcraft figures, and the teaser shown at San Diego Comic-Con in 2013.

The motion comic is an action-packed story that centers around Prince Llane, Captain Lothar and Guardian Medivh. The documentary however covers everything from actors and stunts, to animation and visuals.

To top it off both Blu-ray as well as DVD versions have deleted scenes along with a gag reel an origin story, a feature that focuses on World of Warcraft 's fandom as well as a glimpse at the effects on visuals and facial capture technology.

One thing that isn't listed in the Blu-ray/DVD features is the extended version, which was referenced in the tweets of director Duncan Jones back in May. Jones stated the reason on Twitter that there would "be no extended version until the theatrical version is successful." WoTLK Classic Gold didn't perform amazingly in North America, but it did well in China it even beat Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
