That seasonal approach also sets Diablo 4

If Diablo 4 gets that right and has a similar loot system like Loot2.0 and Loot2.0 in Diablo 3, then we're already concerned about how much time we'll have to devote to the Diablo IV Gold game. The disaster in Diablo 3 is the most beneficial possible thing to happen to the franchise on an ongoing basis. When you combine that alongside that with the Immortal controversy, it feels like Blizzard has a fairly simple list of potential potholes to avoid should it want to remain among the best of it's biggest fans.

The Diablo 3 community is very open about the things they don't like and has been for the entirety of the course of Diablo 3, so we're hoping Blizzard is taking the feedback of those who were able to play huge parts of the game in the pre-release phase. Although we'd bet Blizzard isn't too thrilled with the torrent of leaked footage that has been surfacing on the heels of one of these tests.

A key element from Diablo 3 that is confirmed to return are the limited-time Seasons. These are post-game items of content, which change the ways legendary items function as well as remixing the content of the base game and add replayability to a game that's already incredibly replayable. Seasons were included in significant amounts times in Diablo 3, so we're hoping that they'll be majorly featured in Diablo 4.

That seasonal approach also sets Diablo 4 up to be an even more irresistible Game Pass game, should it ever be shut down. A game such as Diablo featuring solid gameplay is perfect for a service designed for players to return to live games after a few months. However it's a bit of a gamble, as the game is scheduled to buy Diablo IV Gold launch in June and the fight for Activision's future Activision ongoing it's one of the games that's very unlikely to get its Game Pass treatment on day one, unless something radically changes.
