When it comes to PVP
The problem is that none of the other classes have the same minimum D2R Items range limit and any mage who is worthy of his trade will attempt to be close enough and utilize instant-cast spells to take away your life. Pets are usually not a factor in these fights, since human enemies are invulnerable to Growl clearly and they will ignore the minor damage that pets cause and concentrate solely on your.
But, you have some tools that can aid you, particularly against sneaky enemies. Hunter's Mark is a great tool to use to take on hostile PCs if you spot them. However, you must be aware that even though Mark doesn't cause any harm however, the majority of players think it is an act of aggression and strike you even if they intended to pass you by. It's because Hunter's Mark is a real pain; having the arrow's red and bouncing around your neck for 10 minutes isn't something anybody would want to do. In the face of most adversaries it's best to avoid the Mark unless your opponent is making a run for you or has indicated that they intend to strike. Even if you're beaten in the end, knowing that your opponent will have an arrow of a large size on their heads for 10 minutes could ease the pain. (Paladins and Priests can get rid of the Mark quickly, which means their annoyance is a bit less.)
When it comes to PVP, Mark is really meant to be used to fight the stealthy enemies like Rogues or Druids. If you encounter an opponent from those classes, it's recommended to Mark first, and then ask questions later. But, as we've said it can have the consequence of completely stealing your targets, so if you aren't sure that you'll be able take the person down, you may be inclined to move to the opposing direction as swiftly as you can. When your adversary is marked but you'll also be able identify Diablo 2 Resurrected Items the map on your minimap, and you'll at least be able tell which direction they're heading to. you.
